First of all I would like to thank you sooooo very much for all of the pictures and insight into the going's on in Phuket. To see the strength and character of the Thai and Farang visitors is inspiring. It has been a highlight in my day for many weeks. I too was planning a trip to Phuket in Jan. 2005. As a direct influence of your website and your photo's, I continued on with my journey and spent 5 wonderful days in Phuket. I am so glad that I did. This being my fourth visit to Phuket and my most rewarding. Thanks a million and keep up the good work. Regards, Dave Ricci

We wish to thank Phuket Dot Com for allowing the world to take part of Willy´s documentation and progress through pictures! A picture says a thousand words! And seeing is believing. We are totally amazed at the rate all is being repaired and returning back to as "normal" as possible. However, we know that there is much pain and sorrow behind these smiles as well. We truely feel for you. We shall continue to vacation in Thailand and it is our hope others shall do the same. We shall also spread the word....but YOU have already done so through pictures! God Bless! We wish you all the very best. You surely deserve it!

Just a brief note to say thanks for the website. We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Phuket and will definitely go back again next year. Like most people we were unsure what it would be like when we arrived. We needn't have worried ! The people were as friendly as ever and made us feel very welcome. For anyone who has a trip planned go and enjoy this great place....it's also a good way of supporting the Thai people too.

This is to say "Thank you" to you and the team of Phuket.com. This page is my "step into the day" every day again and again after the terrible tsunami. Thank you for all the work you did to inform us about this wonderful place which had so hard to fight against the nature. My english is not perfect but I hope you will understand. Me and my husband we come again to Phuket to meet all the people who made our last holiday unforgetable for us. But we are still looking for Penn and Lath - we dont know if they are well. They were working in one of the food courts but we cannot recognize at the pictures. If you have any time to look for them, we would appreciate very much to hear from you. We already put an add in phuket gazette but nobody answers. We come again in Sept. / Oct 2005 and you can be sure, we will try to meet you. The man who informed us daily about our "other home" phuket, where every smile is warmer ...... Thanks a lot for all your work.

Dear Sirs
Thank you for your wonderfull site showing how hard you are working on rebuilding Phuket Island.
We visit Kamala Beach Hotel for 3 weeks march/april 2000. During the Songkran. We have been in contact with the managements from Kamala Beach Hotel and it was nice to hear That all the staff survived the disaster at dec. 26. We are concerned about the girls at the beach just in front of the hotel, where we could rent sunbeds´, umbrellas and getting wonderfull Thaimassage direct on the beachfront. Specially one of them is in our hearts. She was called "Mam" I thing she was the leader of the girls and she had a little shop in the nice curvy street that enden in Beach Road near the school. Mam´s shop was on the opposite site of the school close to bars, turistinformation, restaurants and other shops. We could buy t-shirts, clothes, cold drinks etc. We spend lots of time in her company. We was a family living on 2.th floor at the beachfront behind the little house where there was a taylorshon in ground floor. We was mum, dad (me) 2 children Cathrine 11 y.o, Christian 1½ y.o. and my mother 79 y.o. Every morning when we wake up Mam invited us to visit her. Please help us to investigat if she and the other girls are in good condition. We are planning a new trip to Kamala and would be happy to see them all again.

Dear phuket.com
I booked my ticket Europe to BKK back in November and have just finalised all the onward flights/accom etc. today for my trip mid-March. What convinced me not to cancel my trip was Willy's photos. I followed them, not every day, but regularly - and when friends here said "you're going there?!", I said, "Yes, of course, I'm following progress on this great website". I'm not coming there to do charity work, I'm coming for a great holiday (my first visit) and it's down to you.
Well done in keeping the progress reports going for so long.

Thank you for the wonderful photo coverage of Phuket. When the Tsunami disaster struck, I was dumb-founded and totally devastated by the news. I have been travelling to Phuket every year without fail for the last 20 years and planning to make my retiremnt home there.
I was there from 7-l4 Feb 2005 and my only hope is tourists and locals alike should go back quickly and support the tourism industry of which the people of Phuket are so dependent on. There is no fear about anything as everything is back to normal and nature is more beautiful than ever. There is even rumours about spirits roaming. This is rather unfounded. We should pray for the restful peace but knowing the people of Thailand and those who went as tourists, their spirits will be alright and I am sure they would want everyone to go back to this lovely place so as not to create more misery for the living.
Please return and make this lovely island alive again.

Dear Friend,
As like everyone around the world, we too were deeply saddened and shocked by the terrible Tsunami on Boxing Day. We visited Patong in Phuket in February 2004 for a family wedding. We felt greatly welcomed by the Thai people and found Thailand itself to be a stunning and spectacularly beautiful place. We want to let anyone know, who may read this to please visit Thailand to experience what we did and not let this tragedy change travellers views. We will DEFINITELY return to Thailand as soon as we can! Until then we wish everyone in Thailand all our best wishes and love! xx

We have been looking at your pictures daily and are really impressed with the progress that has been made around Patong beach. Love the pictures of Starbucks as it was a favourite spot for us when we were in Patong last December. We still have not heard from the tailors at Majestic Fashions (Arun and Rajah). We have sent several e-mails but have got no answer. Saw a picture of a tailor with same name at the Seapearl--did they move from Soi Post Office? If you get a chance, we would love to see a picture of Arun and Rajah so we know they are OK. Also, We agree with other messages---would love to have a picture of the photographer.
