I read all great comments from people in this site. I broke in tears. I can't find any word to express myself enough of how much supportive Thai people have received from people around the world. One thing I realised is that even in the worst situation like Tsunami....there aren't any race or nationality burden but we are all human being and we all support each others. All the donations from around the world were amazing.....can't believe that every countries in the world are helping us and others around Indian Ocean. I only hope that this tragic event won't happen again....it was such an awful awful devastated!!!Thank you so much for all your support... You know that Thailand always welcome visitors around world. God bless you all.

I'll definitely come back to the island!!! More pics from Phi Phi, please... Keep up the good work there, I'd be there too if I only could. My thoughts are with all of you out there!

I have been to Phuket (Patong) 5 times over the past couple of years. The people are amongst the friendliest in the world. What happened on December 26 devastated so many of your friends around the world. This website keeps us all informed of the incredible progress that is being mad in Phuket to rebuild what is an amazing place. I will definately be back for further holidays and in the meantime send all the people of Phuket my very best wishes. Could you please provide a photo of the massage ladies on Patong Beach (near the water tower) outside Patong bungalows. And a pic of the gay boys who play netball would also be appreciated. Keep up the excellent work on this website.

Hi everybody,
thanks for the pics, espeially from Ya Nui.My wife and me where just there at that particular day.The first great wave took us, but we managed and became reborn that day at that place, thansks God! I wrote a song called: "I lost my shoes at Ya Nui Beach" and I´m looking for a Thai singer to perform it, when the music is finely set. We will come back at 16.th of march to visit our place of birth and to meet the restaurant owner to make a personal contribution for the rebuild of Ya Nui! We are still looking for an english spoken survivor we rescued out of the water after the last wave. Dont no his name or real nationality. He was badly injured and we gave him first aid and later fixed transport in a private car to Rawai Health Centre! His wife and daughter survived but couldn´t be reached at that time! Anybody know who he is and where we can find him? Have looked all over for him by internet, but no result so far!
We are thinking very much of You Ya Nui people and worries, but hope to see You all survivors and newborn of Ya Nui next time!

We have been in touch with some of our friends and we have seen some favourite sites on your photo's.
However, we are concerned about some friends that worked on the beach. Mama, who had the yellow deck chairs in front of the Port Restaurant along with the girls Guy and Lek. Also, the guys who had the parasailing in the same area. We now one of them as Tom Cruise but I know that is not his real name. So any photo's to put us at ease would be appreciated.

The photo's are great. Tourism must return and go on as it was so that life can continue as it was. Of course there must come a monument to remember this tragedy. I know soon the sun will shine again in Phuket. Take care!

Thanks for the pictures and updates of the goings on in Phuket. I was there in December and left just a week before the tsunami hit. I felt the pain for every one as it is a lovly country and the people are fantastic and very humble. I also made friends with locals from the Rasta pub so it is great to see that the Rasta Pub is up and runing and all is well. It gives me peace of mind to see that life is getting back to "normal" and hope to see all again this year -xxxx-

I was there last year in Dec., all I remember is the beauty of your waters, the delicious food, and the beautiful smiles of the people. I thought it was all gone but after seeing your pictures I still see the beauty of the ocean, the people still cooking delicious food, and I understand there has been much loss but I pray and hope that your people will return and continue to express those beautiful smiles.

Hi,
I was staying at the Kamala Beach resort when the Tsunami hit and enjoyed visiting the Freedom Bar on the beach, I've been looking for photos of the owners. I am very grateful to all of the Thai people who helped us escape. I will definitely return to Kamala once the hotel has been repaired

What a wonderful job you are doing in giving us an insight into the damage Phuket received. But more so how incredibly the people have rallied to get Patong etc back on track. My husbane and I were to arrive in Phuket on January 3rd, for our first overseas holiday to celebrate his 50th birthday. We were to stay at the Patong Merlin Hotel, which was closed due to damage. I found one photo but would like to see how the hotel is now. We are now planning to come to Phuket in June. After reading emails you have received from visitors to Patong etc, and read how much they loved their stay, it makes me more determined to not put off for too long our holiday. The best way for us to help the Thai people is to support them by visiting their beautiful island paradise.
